Questions!

1) Favourite Winter Nail Polish? I love nude or light pink colours this time of year, I also love really dark colours like deep purples and browns. Topshop have a great selection of colours right now including lots of glitters which are perfect for christmas.

2) Favourite Winter lip product? I'm in love with dark colours this winter I recently bought a Stargazer lip stick in Dark Plum for only like £4 off amazon which I love! I'm defiantly going to buy more dark lipsticks I love Beguiled and Wicked from Topshop they are perfect for this season.

3) Most worn Winter clothing piece? Jogging trousers and big ugg boots, they aren't the most flattering but they are so comfy and warm.

4) Most worn Winter accessory? I don't normally wear any accessories this time of year as I dress more for warmth than fashion. I have a burgundy hat I haven't worn much so I will most defiantly wear that this year also any scarf is perfect to go with any outfit.

5) Favourite winter scent/candle? I love the smell of mulled wine or cinnamon scents as its so warm and makes me excited for Christmas. You can get most Christmas smells from big supermarkets but I will probably splurge a little more for a Yankee Candle!!

6) Favourite Winter beverage? HOT CHOCOLATE WITH MARSHMALLOWS!! You can't go wrong with this its perfect!

7) All time favourite Christmas/Holiday movie? I have too many erm . . .  Love Actually, Home Alone, Happy Feet, Elf, any rom-com!

8) Favourite Christmas/Holiday song? Mariah Carey 'All I want for Christmas Is you', as soon as this is played on the radio I know Christmas is coming! You also can't beat a bit of Wham 'Last Christmas'.

9) Favourite Holiday food/treat? Anything chocolate haha!! I also love a big Christmas dinner, Mince Pies, Stuffing, Pigs in blankets ahh now I'm hungry!

10) What is your favourite Christmas Decoration this year? I'm not sure last year we had red roses in our tree which were so pretty, but on the top of our tree we have a big silver glittery bow which I love.

11) What's at the top of your Christmas list? A curling wand for doing 50s waves other than that I've just asked for dvds.

12) What are your plans for the holidays this year? Going to my Nan and Grandads for dinner then later on going to my auntie and uncles for a little bit of a Crimbo party!

Sorry . . .

Sorry I haven't had time to do a firework makeup this week, I have had jaw ache for a while now but this morning I had the worst ear ache in the world. It was actually horrendous I couldn't even touch my ear. I used a hot flannel and hot water bottle and it has seemed to ease off, thank god I have a doctors appointment on Thursday anyway.

I'm defiantly going to do a party look and a day look and also a Christmas look which I'm excited to do!!!!

Hello Autumn

I cannot believe its November already, before I know it will be Christmas. Madness!
Its currently 3am i'm waiting for Dexter season 4 to load and I can't remember the last time I left my house, I don't actually think I went anywhere in October except for either doctors or therapy. That's bad especially as i'm trying to get better, my moods been pretty low for the past month for a reason I don't really know.

Anyway on to happier things, this is my favourite time of the year. The scenery is so pretty, the leaves are falling off the trees, the colours are beautiful, red, orange and yellow. All I need now is a spiced apple candle and some hot chocolate and it would be perfect. I prefer the colder weather, it means snuggling up in cozy pajamas and watching movies all day long, hehe. Also in a few days it will be bonfire night so I will be uploading pictures of my firework makeup which should be fun, I still have to decide what I'm doing.

Fall shows have also started here in the UK which I'm loving. Here is my list of the top shows that everyone should be watching:

New Stuff

I got some new stuff over the week as I was buying Christmas presents for the family and thought I would treat myself.


First is a Fraulein concealer palette which has many shades to fit to your skin tone. This palette is amazing, as I have really dark circles under my eyes the lilac colour does wonders to counter the darkness and make my skin look even.

Second my mum gave me a Colourworks glitter eyeshadow palette which is going to be perfect for nights out and Christmas.

Next I bought a Stargazer lipstick in a Plum colour to achieve a dark sultry lip.

My dad and his wife went to Las Vegas a few weeks ago and went to Sephora and bought me a Kat Von D eyeshadow palette which is gorgeous, I can't wait to try out the colours. 

They also got me an O.P.I nail varnish in the colour Turquoise Blasted, I tryed it out on my sister and I really like the colour.

Acrylic Glitter Nails

My sister is learning to be a nail technician so she has be practicing on many people including myself and this weekend she did my nails which are amazing!
In a nutshell she basically mixed glitter with clear powder in a pot, then has another pot filled with retention. Then she just dabbed her brush into the retention and then into the glitter to make a bead and dabbed it on the nail starting at the cuticle. She then repeated this to do all my nails.

Here is the finished product. My nails look short but i'm trying to grow them long again.

Vintage Pin Curls

Last night I put pin curls in my hair, hair sprayed it all then wrapped a scarf around my head and slept on it. When I woke up in the morning I took all the pins out and used my fingers to brush through the curls. I used a round brush to brush through each section and then I just used my fingers to place the curls how I wanted them.
After that you can just style it how you like I added a flower clip to one side, my fringe didn't go right so I just pinned that back. This style takes practice, I think next time it would look good on freshly dyed hair so through the S shape there will be a shine and definition. Also I think a finishing frizz serum would be good to make it look less fluffy. I will be trying this again and hopefully will start doing some tutorials :)
